San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana 's 32. They outrebounded Santa Ana 47-35 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Dominican guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-1997) chipped in 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) added 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
